GETTING IT RIGHT
DO'S AND DON'TS
DO
- Hold the camera directly overhead, straight down
- Lay fingers completely flat on the surface
- Place the quarter heads-up, right next to the nail
- Shoot in even daylight or bright, shadow-free light
DON'T
- Shoot at an angle — it distorts the sizing
- Let fingers curl or lift off the surface
- Rest the quarter on top of the nail
- Use a blurry, dark, or shadowed photo
